Dana Jones was a kitchen designer and yoga practitioner who died in 2014 as a result of a yoga fall. Doctors and her family suspect the blunt-force trauma to the back of her head had more to do with her husband than her yoga practice, but a shady homicide detective and a corrupt police department thwart all their attempts to find answers.
Lisa Jones is Dana’s tenacious sister who has continued to advocate justice for her sister. Through her work as a forensic video technician and writer, she has investigated the circumstances around Dana’s death and the botched investigation carried out by the Long Beach Police Department. She created the website Yogadeath.com and wrote the book Blunt Force Yoga which continues to bring Dana’s tragic death to light.
On the morning of March 3rd, 2014, Dana Jones was admitted to a Long Beach Hospital with blunt force head trauma. Her husband claims she fell doing a headstand in their yoga room, but the evidence doesn't add up to support his story. Luckily for Cain Jones, the homicide detective in charge of the case was more interested in doing the bare minimum. His investigation into her death was more about self-preservation than looking into the injury that had the medical team trying to alert authorities of its suspicious nature.
